About Me

While working for Fortune 500 companies for several years, I experienced first hand how difficult it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle while managing a busy career.  Working 50+ hours a week alone can be a challenge, even if you love your job.  But add in a busy family life, exercise, an enriching spiritual practice, relationships…all of the things we all want and deserve, and it can seem close to impossible to keep it all in balance!

I was saddened by how exhausted some of my colleagues seemed, and was tired of feeling drained myself.  I saw a real need for people to have someone they could turn to for health help.  Not a doctor, who can prescribe medicine, but often doesn’t have time to really listen to patients needs.  And not a dietician, who often can provide advice regarding calories, but sometimes does not consider the whole picture in a client’s life.  But a true health coach.  Someone who can help others get whatever is getting in the way of them reaching their health goals out of the way, and provide good direction regarding how to achieve them by really listening to how they are feeling and actively participating in their everyday life.

I decided to go back to school for health and wellness, and received my training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, which is the only nutrition school in the world that integrates all of the different dietary theories.  My program combines the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone Diet and raw foods.  Some of my teachers include: Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, AnneMarie Colbin, John Douillard, Walter Willet, Marion Nestle, and many, many more.  This, combined with my undergraduate degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Maryland, has positioned me well to help others escape the energy doldrums and sugar blues and live the fun, fulfilling life they imagined!

I am passionate about helping people feel the best version of themselves, and am honored to have the opportunity to join them on their journey to health and wellness.  This is why, in addition to one-on-one counseling, I offer unlimited email support to my clients between sessions.  Because I get that life happens not when we’re together, but when we are stressed at work, or out to dinner, or running around with kids.  I conduct all of my coaching over the phone and over Skype, since this is what is most convenient for my clients, and give 100% of my energy and attention to making sure they succeed.  In fact, I guarantee it.  I am so confident that I can help my clients reach their goals that I offer a money-back guarantee.  Visit the Programs section of my website for details.
